If you don't wish to roleplay, please put “OOC:” (without the quotes) in front of your comments to make it easier on myself and others who are roleplaying.

If you do wish to roleplay, please follow the guidelines below and any additional game-specific ones found in the video. Also, to help my memory and the chat's, occasionally put your character's name at the start of what they say, if you have a different name for them than your viewer handle. Eg: “Josie: Hey Zahjira! Josie is back to visit you!” Don't be afraid to ask questions via OOC if you are unclear about something!

• You have one character. Changing to a new one is allowed in moderation, but try to do it only if necessary.
• Your character is a spirit Advisor who can:
  • interact with the other characters in chat as well as with mine
  • provide general advice: eg: “Watch out for frost-bite! You've been outside a while!”
  • advise mine when she needs and asks for direct advice
  • play a part in the unfolding story
  • have fun in chat! ;)
• If your character is from the game world: They're dead.
• If your character is dead: Their death predates the start of the current game timeline.
• If your character is alive: They are from another planet or reality; using some reasonable means to speak to and watch through the eyes of a medium.
• Your character doesn't have:
  • a special background before or after death (reserved for Guides – see my Patreon for more info)
  • access to special resources and/or people (reserved for Guides – see my Patreon for more info)
  • special knowledge of any in-lore game secrets / quest line
  • access to info that postdates the start of the game timeline that hasn't been learned via the SRP livestream.
• Your character isn't:
  • the spirit of any named lore characters from the game world
  • personally well-acquainted with any of them, whether they are dead or alive.
• Your character didn't:
  • meet mine in the flesh, nor are they related; although they could've been the same race / heritage.

• If this stream is marked as SRP that means this is a serious roleplay livestream project where both the streamer (Val) and viewers in chat play a role in the story!
  
• Please stay in character (IC), but if you choose to speak out of character, put OOC before anything you say. Thank you!
• Patience when you comment, please! I'm keeping track of 3 chats (Twitch/YouTube/Mixer) at the same time on top of playing a game and commentating.
• I make use of mod bots, so if you're familiar with them, all the standard rules apply among which are: No links without permission; limits on # of repeated symbols, capital letters, and emotes.
• Be respectful of other chatters, and keep your comments clean and appropriate for all ages.
• Do not post age talk, obscenities, gender or racial slurs, or graphic content.
• No advertising. "Casual" mentions of 'In my stream/video...' etc aren't fooling anyone.
• Getting my attention: Use of ValsNoisyToys, "Val", "Vals" etc will ping me with a notification sound. This is intended to be used to bring my attention to an urgent comment relating to what I'm currently streaming before too much time has passed. Otherwise, be patient: I periodically look over at chat to catch up and comment if I feel a response is needed beyond "Catching up with you all on chat right now."
• Please don't spam comments. Be reasonable when you repost in an effort to catch my eye.
• I'm streaming in English, so please comment in English in chat to be courteous to everyone else.
• And last, but not least, no asshattery. You'll know it when you see it - and if I see it, you're in trouble. ;)

The best way to get a message to me in a timely manner is to join the Fellowship Discord and tag me with a message. I check Discord often, even if I'm not visibly there.

Val's Patron Games are held the last Saturday of each month at 1pm Val time (MST/MDT depending on the time of year).
If you would like to join in the streamed Patron Games, support Val via Patreon at the $5 level or higher. Once your first pledge goes through, you'll be invited to the next Patron Games! N.B. I need a few days lead time to set you up, though.
